Call it getting a jump on spring cleaning: Google has launched a new version of the AdSense Online Program Policies yesterday.

According to Arlene Lee (AdSense Publisher Support)

“We’ve tried to make the format more readable, so those of you who start the day with a cup of coffee and a copy of the Program Policies may notice that much of the wording is new. Nearly all of the policies themselves have stayed the same, but we encourage everyone to take a look at the new version, if only to re-familiarize yourself with the details.”

Here’s something interesting you’d want to know about the changes:

“Competitive Ads and Services

In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.”
